Brimstage Manor Nursing Care Home
Providing specialist dementia nursing
A luxurious Victorian converted property with purpose built extensions, benefiting from Mediterranean style courtyards, with raised beds and sitting area. Brimstage Manor has its own pond with a safe seating area that can also be viewed from many of the bedrooms. There are dozens of resident ducks, geese and visiting wildlife to be enjoyed in this magnificent rural location.
There are spacious lounges, in which residents can relax, interact, watch television or find peace and quiet. There are a number of rooms with en-suite facilities and double rooms are available for couples or companion sharing.
Our highly motivated staff are headed by a registered manager, a matron who has many years of experience in caring for the elderly and who provides hands-on supervision to maintain our tradition of excellence. A qualified nurse is on duty 24 hours per day. All staff are CRB checked and undertake NVQ qualifications. Training is sponsored by the company as part of an on-going commitment to retaining high quality staff. In addition the company has its own 10 part training programme, which all staff complete.
As in all our establishments, there is full disabled access, lifts to all floors and specialised equipment is available, e.g. for assisted bathing. Physiotherapy, Chiropody, Dentists and Opticians are all available on request and local clergy of all denominations are encouraged to visit on a regular basis.
Our qualified chefs prepare a wide range of home cooked food using fresh local produce. The choice is based on traditional recipes and daily alternatives are provided at every meal time. Special diets are also catered for.
A full programme of activities is available to our residents, tailored to their needs and abilities. The home organises regular day trips and visits out for the residents.
Brimstage Manor has a no smoking policy.
The home is visited by hairdressers and a range of complimentary therapies can be arranged on request at your own cost. Accommodation is fully inclusive of laundry.
The home welcomes guests funded by Social Services and those who are privately paying clients. We are happy to accommodate both, private or supported clients - everyone receives the same high class service.
This home is inspected and accredited by CSCI, in accordance with statutory government regulation.
