Mary Rose Manor is a purpose-built nursing home located in the centre of historic Portsmouth. We provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care in a warm, welcoming environment.

Before welcoming our first residents, we carefully recruited and trained a dedicated team of professionals—not just to meet clinical needs, but to ensure that every resident feels respected, valued, and truly at home.

Our facility features 52 spacious, ensuite bedrooms, each with a private wet room for safety and convenience.
All residents enjoy free Wi-Fi, helping them stay connected to friends, family, and the wider world.

Our beautiful west-facing garden captures sunlight throughout the day and is fully accessible to residents and visitors. It’s a peaceful space for relaxation, socialising, and enjoying the fresh air.

We also offer a unique seaside-themed sensory room, complete with personalised music and even a classic Punch and Judy show—bringing joy and meaningful engagement to all who visit.

At the helm of Mary Rose Manor is Julie, our experienced and compassionate Registered Manager.

Julie brings a wealth of experience, including service in the Gulf War, leadership roles at a District General Hospital, and her time as a Nurse Specialist in Elderly Medicine. Her passion for elderly care inspired her to lead the transformation of a residential facility into a nursing home—and eventually commission Mary Rose Manor as a flagship centre of excellence.

Julie's open-door policy and hands-on leadership create a vibrant hub of support for residents, families, staff, and visiting professionals alike.

Our skilled team of Registered Nurses is experienced in managing complex needs for adults aged 18 and over. We offer:

Palliative and end-of-life care
Complex wound care
Enteral feeding (PEG, NG, and others)
All types of catheter care
Spinal injury and support care
Seizure management
Tracheostomy and laryngectomy care
Support for mental health and learning disabilities
Management of degenerative conditions and rehabilitation

We also offer a dedicated 22-bed floor for residents living with dementia or behaviours that challenge traditional care. Our staff are specially trained in managing the behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) with compassion, structure, and consistency.
