QUALITY OF CARE

ABout our quality of care

At Century Healthcare, we are committed to providing a high quality service to our residents and can accommodate a range of nursing and care needs. Our philosophy is to provide the highest possible standards of care, within a warm, friendly and dignified environment.

Anyone coming into a Century home receives a full pre-admission assessment carried out by a qualified nurse with many years experience in elderly care. Once in our home, a care plan is developed that puts the individual’s wishes first and foremost and also involves the family and health professionals. Resident's care plans are regularly reviewed to ensure that their needs are met throughout their stay.

Every home in the company complies with the guidelines set out in the NHS initiative “Safeguarding Adults” and consistently observes this policy to ensure the safety of the clients in our care.

Through regular care plan reviews and medication audits, we are able to provide a consistent and relevant level of care to our clients. This also ensures that vitally important issues such as diet and hydration are regularly reviewed.

Each home has an activities coordinator who organises a selection of activities that residents can join in, if they so wish. The programme is designed to give a balance of physical and mental stimulation.

The services of a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, chiropodist and optician are all available on request.
