Job Title: Ancillary Assistant / Domestic Assistant
Location: Priory Court Nursing Home
Hours: 30 hours per week
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
About the Role:
Priory Court Nursing Home is looking for a reliable and hardworking Ancillary Assistant / Domestic Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a varied role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.
Shift Pattern:
Sunday: Kitchen Cleaner (8:00am – 4:00pm)
Tuesday & Wednesday: Laundry Assistant (8:00am – 4:00pm)
Friday: Domestic/Home Cleaning (8:00am – 4:00pm)
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out cleaning duties to a high standard across the home
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas (in line with food safety standards)
Wash, dry, and organise residents’ laundry with care and attention
Ensure all communal and private areas are clean, tidy, and welcoming
Follow health & safety and infection control procedures at all times
Work as part of a team to support residents’ wellbeing and comfort
About You:
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Good attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and committed
A caring nature and respect for elderly residents
