Employee of the Month – November 2025: Meet Dan, Our Wonderful Therapy Dog

We’re delighted to announce our Gillibrand Hall Employee of the Month for November 2025—and this month’s star team member is none other than Dan, our much-loved therapy dog, supported by his wonderful owner, Fiona!

Bringing Joy to Gillibrand Hall Every Wednesday

Every Wednesday, Dan trots into Gillibrand Hall ready for work, excited to see his friends—our residents. His weekly visits have become a highlight of life in the home, offering comfort, companionship, and plenty of smiles. Pet therapy is known to lift mood and reduce stress, and Dan brings all of that and more to our community.

Why Dan Is Our Employee of the Month

Dan has earned his title for many reasons:

• He always arrives with a smile and a wagging tail, ready to brighten everyone’s day.

• He’s polite, gentle, and charming—a true gentleman.

• And of course… he’ll do absolutely anything for a biscuit!

  
  

Our residents thoroughly enjoy spending time with Dan—stroking his soft fur, chatting to him, and watching his ever-wagging tail. Offering him a biscuit has become a favourite moment for many. Don’t worry though—Dan has a slightly smaller tea on Wednesday evenings to make up for all the extra treats!

Dan’s presence brings warmth, joy, and a sense of calm to Gillibrand Hall. His visits encourage social interaction and create a wonderful atmosphere throughout the home. We are truly grateful to both Dan and Fiona for their dedication and the happiness they bring each week.
