One of our most popular recent initiatives has been our “Around the World” themed dining experience, where each month we explore a different country or culture through food, music, and creative activities.

Every month, our residents enjoy sampling foods from around the world as part of a carefully planned themed meal and celebration. These events are about much more than just food — they are designed to spark memories, encourage conversation, and bring everyone together for a shared experience.

More Than a Meal – A Full Cultural Experience

In the lead-up to each themed day, residents love getting involved by creating their own themed placemats and flags, adding a personal and creative touch to the dining room. These activities are not only enjoyable but also support wellbeing by encouraging creativity, social interaction, and a sense of achievement.

On the day itself, the atmosphere is enhanced with themed music, helping to bring each culture to life. From relaxing island sounds to lively international tunes, the music adds that extra special touch and helps set the scene for the celebration.

So far, our residents have enjoyed themed menus and celebrations inspired by:

• India – with vibrant colours, aromas, and flavours

• Italy – featuring classic, comforting dishes loved by many

• Hawaii – bringing a tropical feel with bright decorations, island-inspired food, and laid-back music

Each theme has been a huge success, with residents thoroughly enjoying both the food and the activities surrounding it. The events often spark wonderful conversations, with residents sharing memories of travel, holidays, and family meals from years gone by.
