Fun in the Sun at Ambleside Bank Care Home's Summer BBQ

Residents, families and staff enjoyed a fantastic day of sunshine, laughter and delicious food as Ambleside Bank Care Home hosted its annual Summer BBQ celebration.

Making the most of the beautiful weather, residents spent the morning relaxing in the garden, chatting with friends and enjoying a variety of outdoor games. Spending time outdoors and taking part in meaningful activities is an important part of life at Ambleside Bank, helping to promote wellbeing, social interaction and plenty of smiles.

The highlight of the day soon arrived when the water guns made an appearance!

What started as a little light-hearted fun quickly turned into a full-scale water fight between residents and staff. There was laughter all around as nobody escaped getting soaked – especially once resident Doreen got hold of a water gun! She delighted in catching staff by surprise at every opportunity, keeping everyone on their toes and creating unforgettable memories for all involved.

Following the excitement, everyone gathered together to enjoy a delicious summer BBQ prepared by our talented chef, Andrew. Residents tucked into a selection of freshly cooked BBQ favourites while soaking up the sunshine and enjoying each other's company in the garden.

Events like our Summer BBQ are about so much more than great food.
