Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Catering Manager to lead our kitchen team at Euxton Park Nursing Care Home. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all culinary activities, ensuring excellent food quality, and managing kitchen staff. This will be a 3 month temporary contract with the opportunity for extension on a monthly rolling basis.

Location: Euxton Park Care Home

Working hours: 30 hours per week

Shifts: 3 x 10 hour shifts

Salary: £16.24 per hour


Duties:

  • Plan and direct food preparation.

  • Create innovative menus and develop new recipes

  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations

  • Supervise kitchen staff and provide training when needed

  • Manage inventory levels and control food costs

  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

  • Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events or promotions


Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices

  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff

  • Proficient in menu planning, costing, and inventory management

  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills

  • Creative flair in developing unique dishes whilst maintaining high standards


Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: £16.24 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
