Residents Enjoy Special Chinese Takeaway Night at Ambleside Bank Care Home

At Ambleside Bank Care Home, we believe that listening to our residents and bringing their ideas to life is an important part of creating a happy, fulfilling environment.

Following a suggestion raised during a recent residents' meeting, we were delighted to organise a special Chinese takeaway night for residents who had expressed how much they missed enjoying this favourite dining experience.

The event was designed around resident choice and independence. On the evening, participating residents were presented with a full Chinese takeaway menu and invited to select their own meals. The activity quickly became a talking point, with residents sharing memories of favourite dishes, discussing different menu options, and even choosing to try something new.

There was a real sense of excitement throughout the home as everyone eagerly awaited the arrival of their meals. The atmosphere was lively, sociable, and full of anticipation, creating a wonderful opportunity for residents to spend quality time together.

Once the food arrived, residents enjoyed their chosen dishes accompanied by a glass of wine, helping to recreate the experience of a traditional takeaway night out. The evening provided not only a delicious meal but also an opportunity for social interaction, conversation, and shared enjoyment.
