Care Home Administrator

Ambleside Bank Care Home, Wigan

Shifts: Monday & Tuesday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Contracted Hours: 15 hours per week

Salary: £12.60 per hour


Ambleside Bank Care Home in Wigan is looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Care Home Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a key role within the home, providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our service.


As the first point of contact for visitors, families and professionals, you will play an important part in creating a welcoming and professional environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing reception duties and handling enquiries (face-to-face, phone and email)

  • Supporting the Home Manager with general administrative tasks

  • Maintaining accurate records and filing systems

  • Supporting recruitment administration (e.g., interview coordination, onboarding paperwork)

  • Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements


What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous administrative experience (care home or healthcare setting desirable but not essential)

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Confident IT skills (Microsoft Office, email systems, and record management systems)

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional manner

  • A warm, approachable personality with attention to detail
