Location: New Thursby Nursing HomeHours: 20 hours per weekSalary: £12.21 per hour

About the Role

As a Domestic Assistant, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our home is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. You’ll work in line with our cleaning schedules and residents’ individual needs, helping to create a safe, comfortable, and pleasant living environment for everyone.

Main Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the home to a high standard, following cleaning guidelines and schedules.

• Maintain confidentiality and respect residents’ privacy, dignity, and choice at all times.

• Follow all relevant health and safety requirements, including COSHH and infection control.

• Ensure cleaning equipment is in safe working order and report any faults promptly.

• Keep housekeeping supplies stocked and inform your Line Manager of any shortages.

• Assist with spillages or additional cleaning tasks as needed.

• Contribute positively to the team environment, attending meetings and training sessions.

• Safeguard residents and uphold our commitment to their wellbeing and protection.

About You

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Friendly, helpful, and courteous approach.

• COSHH awareness/training (or willingness to undertake).

• Ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment safely.

• Organised and able to complete routine tasks to a high standard.
