At Gillibrand Hall Care Home, we love being part of our local community. Our wonderful Activity Co-ordinator, Tracey, took residents Stella and Jean to watch Gillibrand School’s Harvest Festival at Chorley Methodist Church.

The children had visited us the previous week to hand-deliver beautiful handmade invitations, which brought big smiles all around. Our residents always look forward to visits from the pupils — their energy and enthusiasm truly brighten everyone’s day.

Although photographs of the children couldn’t be taken for privacy reasons, you can see from our pictures just how happy and excited Stella and Jean were to attend the show.

They loved joining in with the singing and supporting the children’s wonderful performance.

Events like this are an important part of life at Gillibrand Hall. We believe that staying active, connected, and involved in the local community has a positive impact on wellbeing. Whether it’s enjoying local performances, visiting familiar places, or welcoming visitors into our home, these experiences help our residents feel engaged and fulfilled.

A big thank you to Gillibrand School and Chorley Methodist Church for hosting such a lovely event — we can’t wait for the next one!
