About the Role
Mary Rose Manor is looking for an experienced, caring and enthusiastic Wellbeing Team Member to join our friendly team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting older people to enjoy meaningful, fulfilling and engaging days. You will play an important role in promoting residents' social, emotional and physical wellbeing, creating opportunities for them to enjoy their interests, connect with others and continue doing the things they love.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in activities, wellbeing, care or a similar role, who can bring energy, creativity and enthusiasm to the position and make a real difference to our residents' everyday lives.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Wellbeing Team Member, you will:
Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities tailored to residents' individual interests, abilities and preferences.
Spend time getting to know residents and understand what makes them happy and engaged.
Encourage residents to participate in activities and social opportunities, while respecting individual choice.
Organise creative activities such as arts and crafts, music, games and reminiscence sessions.
Support celebrations, parties, seasonal events and special occasions.
Organise and support community visits, outings and trips.
Help residents maintain links with their families, local community and wider social networks.
Develop relationships with local groups, entertainers, churches, schools and volunteers.
Encourage residents to take part in exercise, movement and wellbeing activities appropriate to their abilities.
Support residents to continue their hobbies and personal interests.
Create opportunities for residents to spend meaningful time outdoors.
Maintain activity displays, photographs and wellbeing information throughout the Home.
Record residents' participation and relevant information accurately.
Work closely with care staff and other members of the team to ensure activities complement residents' individual care and wellbeing needs.
Support fundraising events, garden parties and other events at the Home.
Contribute ideas to continually improve the wellbeing programme.
Help create a warm, positive and inclusive atmosphere throughout the Home.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure residents are safeguarded at all times.
Attend training, supervision and meetings as required.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.
About You

Experienced in activities, wellbeing, care, community work or a similar environment.
Naturally caring, compassionate and patient.
Friendly, approachable and able to build strong relationships with residents.
Creative and full of ideas for activities and events.
Enthusiastic about helping older people maintain their interests and independence.
A confident communicator who can put people at ease.
Reliable, organised and punctual.
A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
Flexible and willing to support occasional weekend activities where required.
Able to work independently and use initiative.
Comfortable supporting people with different abilities, interests and needs.
Passionate about creating positive experiences and making every day meaningful.
Working Pattern
The successful candidate will work:
Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday – Friday
09:00hrs – 17:00hrs
There may also be a requirement to work one day at the weekend on occasion, with the working pattern subject to review depending on the needs of the Home.
Pay
Starting from £12.71, with salary increasing depending on experience and suitability for the role.
